If you love to shoot baseball or football sports action, you’ll have to wait until baseball or football season kicks off. Should your passion be shooting autumn colors as the leaves change after summer’s end, you’ll have to wait until September and October of each year. Wildlife and nature photography isn’t impossible during the winter months, but it’s usually more exciting during the Spring. I’m out there chasing down blossoming flowers and looking for interesting bugs to capture on digital film. In July, I end up at the beach shooting shells and shore creatures. Come late September, I grab close-up shots of leaves. And during the long winters, I have my macro tabletop set up so I can shoot pictures of anything that captures my fancy. Indeed, close-up photography and portraits are what I photograph most during the cold months.
